Question
Hi: I have some Hendrix 45s on the Barclay label. I think it's French. Any idea of the value? They are probably about 30 years old at least. Also, some Japanese Cream 45s on Polydor and RSO. Any idea on the value of these?

Thanks,
Steven

Answer
I am no longer a vinyl collector,  and even when I was the pricing books were not accurate with what people actually would pay for records.
It is very hard to say what they are worth, the best thing you could do is search for them on ebay or do google searches for them by title and label and maybe even the catalog number ( which normally appears under the "side1"  or "side2"  on the record.
Chances are if you do a google search you will find online sellers who are selling those records and list their prices.

I hear that interest in vinyl is rising again, but that is about all I really know about it.

I  wish I could give you a better answer, but honestly even when I was a collector it was hard to get a good price from vinyl unless you actually owned a store that dealt in vinyl or collectables.
Stores that sell vinyl typically buy cheap and sell high.

I can answer general questions about rock era bands, record labels they were on, and names of songs. Often I can tell the name of the record company that released a song, as well as the name of the song, and the year of release based on some of the lyrics. I grew up during the rock era and I am a musician myself, and always read the album and 45 info for production credits as well as lineups. One of the chat rooms I go to is quite amused at my ability to name a song along with it`s year of release and record label. I was also a record collector for years.
