Question
If you can help me then you are amazing. lol  Firstly; I am
not sure if this comes under classic rock or if it is more
folk.  I have a well known tune stuck in my head and I
cannot remember, for the life of me, what it is called or
who sang it.  You can laugh - this is all I can give you.
Lol

It's a folky sounding tune and really catchy - sounds kind
of Christmassy.  Really jolly and an instrumental.  There
are flutes - maybe a bit morris dancey. lol  Do de do de do
de dooo. Do de do de do de dooo.  Dooo de do de doo doo, doo
de doo de doo de doo.  De doo de doo de doo - doooo de doo
de do diddy dooo.  :-D

Answer
Wow, not sure at all here!!!  Sorry.  My only guess might be something from Mason Williams (eventually from Mannheim Steamroller).  He was doing some interesting stuff back then.  But hmmm, with flutes too?  Jethro Tull used them often, and also did instrumentals.  That might be another direction to take in hunting this one down.
