Classic Rock/Song for a slideshow

Question
Hi, My boyfriend and I are working on a slideshow for his son's wedding. Basically, pics of his son as a child, and his fiance as a child, then them together. The songs we have for the background so far are "Bad Company" for his son's, and "Jump" for the two of them together.  We liked "Sweet Child o'mine" for hers, but was voted down as "too hard-core".  So we need something ok with grandma, but fits into our classic rock theme.  I'm a bit of a rock expert, but i'm stumped!  Need something positive, girl-friendly...if it was our girl we'd feel more brave about something risky...any ideas??  As many as you can throw at me, we've tried quite a few.  THANKS A TON!

Answer
Hi Monica

It's hard to offer any educated suggestions without knowing anything about you folks (or her) or your musical preferences.  That said, here's a very blind list of ideas, in no particular order:

Maybe I'm Amazed - Paul McCartney
I'm Been Searchin' So Long - Chicago (a bit cheesy, but kind of a cool ending)
Jessica - Allman Brothers (nice instrumental, though I'm sure her name isn't Jessica)
Thank You - Led Zeppelin
All My Love - Led Zeppelin
My Girl - Temptations
All I Want Is You - U2 (granted, only from '88, but I LOVE this one for its emotion)
Faithfully - Journey
When It's Love - Van Halen (though I never much liked Sammy, it isn't bad)

You can always Google on the phrase "classic rock love songs" and explore the myriad lists that are out there as well.

Good luck, and congrats to the happy couple.
