Classic Rock/lost song

Question
I've sometimes heard a song on the radio (not for a long time now) and i guess it's from the late 70s. Well, i don't remember almost anything about this song.. i know that that it was almost like a choir who sang (at least) the refrain. and the song is quite "monotonous". the lyrics had some bis message in them, like something about love or death. I also think that the name of the band consisted of two words, maybe something with "the". I also hear something like tambourine/chambooreen/jamboreen in my head when i try hard to remember the bandname...

Answer
I can't even start with this one.  There were A LOT of songs that talked about either "LOVE" or "DEATH".  The only operatic / choir song from that era that springs to the forefront of my mind is Queen's "Bohemian Rhaposody".

I hope this is what you are looking for.

Sorry that I can't be more helpful.

Having grown up during the 70`s, I have a great appreciation for what I consider to be the best music ever recorded. My favourite group from that era is The Eagles and I believe that the summer of 1976 was the best summer for music releases! Ask me anything about any top 40 group from the mid 70`s to the mid 80`s and I am to say with most certainty, that I will be able to provide you with an answer!
