Classic Rock/question about a song title
Expert: Skeeter - 11/28/2007
QuestionI'm not sure if I've asked you this question before or not, I've asked a lot of experts and they can't seem to identifiy this song. I heard it on the radio a long time ago, back when classic rock meant 50s and 60s apparently here in Nebraska classic means 70s or 80s. Anyway the only thing I remeber is a little of the chorus which is in a I believe what they call a do-wop fashion. It goes like this:
"What can I do all day (do wop echo) (something) life like a carousel (something) do all day do do all day do do all day waa ahh."
Unfortunately that's all I remeber I know the lead singer sounds british almost (a little like Elton John but I don't think that's him) let me know if you can name the song.
Thanks
Jason
Answer Rock still means 50s, 60s, and 70s, don't let anybody fool you about it. Rock died about 1980.
I waited to respond to this question, to have time to think about it and do some research. I don't really recognize the words, and tried my best to research them and came up with very little.
One thing I did find is that there is a song called "Love's A Carousel" Gino and Gina. I cannot find lyrics to it, so it is at best a long shot.
I don't know how you can even find a copy of it to see if it is the song.
You could try calling into an oldies program and asking them to play it.
I am sorry I can't help you more, but this one really has me stumped.
If I happen to run across info about it I will try to remember to pass it on to you.
