Classic Rock/song title/group

Question
Hi Skeeter,
I'm looking for the title of a song, and the group that plays it. It starts off with a one note bass line that sounds kind of like Van Halen, maybe in A. While the bass is just hitting
A-A-A-A  A-A-A-A  A-A-A-A  A-A-A-A
The guitar is hitting power chords in
  A        C        G        D
I forget the verse, but the intro/chorus that goes with the above rythm seems to be
"Aaaaa    liiii     aaaa     aah"
  A        G         G       G-
                    "Here we go again"
                      D   D-  D  D- A
"Aaaaa    liiii     aaaa     aaah"
  A        G         G       G-
                    "Here we go again"
                      D   D-  D  D- E

The song is kind of a mid-eighties sounding hard rock song. Kind of like Van Halen, Foreigner, POV, or Giant. I can't find the title though. I don't think it's 'Aliyah' or 'Here we go again'. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
I really don't know a lot about he eighties music, I am more knowlegable about rock era stuff, rock music was pretty much fizzled out by the eighties.  But,  I did a little research  and there are songs by both the Sex Pistols and Whitesnake that contain that particular phrase.  If I remember right,  it seems Whitesnakes singer was sort of a Robert Plant clone, if that righs a bell.
If you knew more of the lyrics it would help.  Sorry I can't help you better.
You might try finding some sites that have guitar tabs,  most often they have the lyrics with the music, and you can check under bands you think it might be to find it.
Wish I could help you more with this,  I will do a little more research.

I can answer general questions about rock era bands, record labels they were on, and names of songs. Often I can tell the name of the record company that released a song, as well as the name of the song, and the year of release based on some of the lyrics. I grew up during the rock era and I am a musician myself, and always read the album and 45 info for production credits as well as lineups. One of the chat rooms I go to is quite amused at my ability to name a song along with it`s year of release and record label. I was also a record collector for years.
