Question Hi Donald
Can you give me any websites where I can listen to music with individual orchestral parts (eg, 2nd violin) "highlighted". These websites exist for choral works, but are there any for orchestral works? Specifically, I'm looking for Elgar Pomp & Circumstance No 4 harp part. Thank you. Carol
Answer Hi Carol,
Thanks for your question!
After looking around a bit, the best that I can find is a "mix minus one" accompaniment series at http://www.hickeys.com/pages/vccat.htm. They do not have harp music on this site, but you might seek to google or yahoo the exact score that you are looking for to see if something comparable exists. Finally, if you know of a good keyboardist in your area, you could take him the score and ask him to sequence enough of the score for you to practice with. There are many people in my area who could do this (for a fee, of course), but I live in Atlanta and have access to many resources. If you are near a large city, you might try to submit your request on Craig's List, or some other networking site.
I'm sorry that I didn't have the quick fix for your problem, and I wish you well in your search.
