Question
Dear Mr Goldberg
I am looking for the music sheet (voice+piano or voice+orchestra) of the piece "Spente le stelle - Carmine meo", sang by Emma Shapplin. I cannot find anywhere...do you have an idea where I can buy it?
thank you in advance for your support!
best regards

Answer
Debora, do you want the original score by Puccini or the score to a modern arrangement? (I usually get scores from public music libraries).

I somehow got the idea that the music was originally by Puccini. I now see that it's by Capdevielle and is not strictly speaking classical, but is considered "crossover".

After long searches on the Internet I found that the authorized recording is by EMI. I went to their website, EMIMusicPub, but did not find any music by Capdevielle, but filled out a search request.

The only Internet site that promised a score was a torrent site that warned that downloading the score might violate copyright law.

Sorry, but that's the best I can do.

Regards,
Gary
