Classical Music/what song was that?

Question
There was a classical song played in a 1980's wine commercial. It was joyful and uplifting with crescendos while people toasted wine at what appeared to be a formal party. I believe it was a popular wine. I did hear this song once since then on a friend's compilation record (vinyl record) but don't recall the name or artist. I don't think it was Beethoven or Mozart. I would love to know what song and artist this was.
Can you help?

Answer
Russ,
It would help if I had a link to the music, but if I remember correctly, the piece was by Vangelis and I think it was titled "Hymn."  It's not a classical piece.
However, I'm just guessing at this point since I am not sure we are thinking of the same thing.  If you can find a link, that would help.
