I am seeking a piece of music that depicts in stereo a battle between two armies. Similar to the 1812 Overture. Not a lot to go on im afraid.

Answer
There are a few that come to mind:

Beethoven: Wellington's Victory
Monteverdi: Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda

Also there is a battle scene in Prokofiev's movie score for Alexander Nevsky.

There must be a bunch of movie scores that help depict battle -- but Prokofiev's was for a silent film, so the music carries the action.

Comment	Right on the nose, many thanks. Its taken 35 yrs to come back to the battle symphony but its worth it fantastic use of stereo.
