Question
I'm not sure if this even is classical music but I found this song on YouTube and I've been trying to figure out what it is for quite some time. I don't have an exact web address but you can just search "Serbian special force 2010" it will be by "mrfirekeyboard". I hope you can help!!

Answer
Hello, Chris,

It's pretty much in the style of movie music, which is often in classical style. Here is the link for the segment:

Most likely what it is based on is a Serbian folk tune or military tune. You might want to do a bit of Googling with that in mind. Let me know if you find out anything. You can also write to mrfirekeyboard and ask him. If he knows any English, he might be able to tell you. Most likely, he has to know some English to navigate on YouTube. I doubt if they have a Serbian version. I hope this helps.

PS I got to thinking. I may be able to do a search for you on Google, using Serbian, since I can read the Cyrillic alphabet. I'll get back to you, so check back in a day or two if you haven't gotten a notice of a new revision.

PPS No luck. There were only two links in Serbian, and they led to a web site where you can upload music. When I went to the other person on YouTube who had posted an excerpt, it was very different music, so chances are the only person who knows about the music you want to know about is mrfirekeyboard. So unless he can tell you, you are probably out of luck.

Expertise

I am no longer answering questions asking me to identify music. Most music is either on YouTube, which crashes my browser, or on another site that crashes my browser. I am available for other questions.

Experience

I have been playing piano since I was 3, and I am now 66 years old. I took formal lessons for about 11 years, and took some piano and organ performance courses in college. I also sang in the Masterworks Chorale for a number of years, and can sing anything from baritone to first soprano. We performed twice a year, usually a major choral work, ranging from requiem masses to Carmina Burana. I also attended recorder society meetings once a month. We would read compositions and perform them together. I took several children to their music lessons and rehearsals and usually stayed and watched intensely. Our children studied violin, viola, flute, guitar, clarinet, French horn, trumpet, and trombone.

Education/Credentials
I studied piano and organ in college, and took courses in music theory. I have also taken seminars in pre-Columbian folk music with Xochimoki, as well as played a short while in a gamelan, and a balalaika orchestra, where I played autoharp.
