Hello, my friend is wondering what classical piece is played in this clip from the 1949 version of the film ''Little Women'': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9yAvyf30Qo  She thinks it may be a Strauss polka, but she isn't sure. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Your friend is right. It is a polka by Johann Strauss Jr. called "Brautschau-Polka," Op. 417. You can hear the entire work (from which Adolph Deutsch excerpted and arranged that bit of dance music) here:

Though that music isn't acknowledged anywhere in the film credits, I discovered that Loews copyrighted Deutsch's arrangement. Look at the listing for "Brautschau" here, from the Library of Congress's "Catalog of Copyright Entries, 1949, Unpublished Music":
