Classical Music/Britten's War Requiem or not?

Question
I got this lovely segment from web with the original file name, which suggests it is from War Requiem, but obviously it is not. I remotely remember hearing this at the end of a WWII documentary, but am not sure. Some suggested this may be a piece specific for a film. It has puzzled me for a long time. Any composer writing this deserves a huge recognition, IMO.

Answer
I'm sorry not to be able to help.  I don't know the War Requiem (though of course I know about it), so I can't tell you for sure that this is not an excerpt or paraphrase.  All I can tell you is that what you sent is not something I recognize -- and that what you sent is a MIDI orchestra, not a real one.  This might indicate that the piece is specific for a film, or it might only indicate that the producers didn't want to pay the royalties for using a real orchestral recording.

Keep asking around.  Someone will know.
