Classical Music/Classical source of popular song

Question
The song in question is 'Moonglow'. I believe the source is a Tchaikovsky symphony--which one? If not Tchaikovsky, then who and what composition?

Thank you.

Answer
Moonglow?  Really?  Not the song I know.  That one is by Will Hudson, with lyrics by Eddie De Lange and Irving Mills, from 1934.  I have never heard a classical source that sounds anything like it -- and I do know those Tchaikovsky symphonies (as well as a major chunk of the standard repertoire).

There are lots of pop tunes with classical sources.  This one, I really believe, is not one of them.
