Question
I am trying to find the words to Benjamin Godard's "Berceuse" from the opera Jocelyn. I would like to have the words in English, but could use the original language and will get it translated.

Thanks

Jo

Answer
You can buy sheet music for this piece -- $2 - $6 depending on the edition.  The sheet music would have the words, perhaps in multiple translations -- though song translation is often a bit odd, because the number of syllables and the stresses have to match.

Here is a website where you can get the sheet music.  I haven't seen these editions, so I can't vouch for them.

Otherwise, I can't find anywhere to send you for more help with this.  Have you tried a decent library?  You might find a libretto, or a recording with the libretto published along side.

Good luck,
