I hear it often on Muzak streaming music. However, they won't respond to my inquiries.

Hello again,

I played this for a few fellow professional musicians.  No one has recognized it.  We can tell you for sure that it isn't Bach -- but it is likely to be one of his contemporaries, probably Italian:  Torelli? Vivaldi? Corelli? Frescobaldi?  

I would suggest that you ask some flute players.  They may know it, especially if they play baroque music.
