I just wondered if you could possibly identify this piece of music.

Sorry, I don't recognize it. It sounds like movie music trying to sound like it is quoting a classical (Baroque?) melody, but I don't recognize the melody. I couldn't swear that it is original movie music -- that is, it could be a real quote. But, as I said, not something I know.
