Classical Music/Italian Composer Train Station

Question
I was listening to the radio years ago and came by a brilliant piece based on the sounds of a Railroad Station. I am quite certain the composer is contemporary. And it is a possibility he is Sicilian. Please help! I am desperate to hear that piece again! :) -Jim Tanton

Answer
Could you be talking about Pacific 231 by Honneger?  "Pacific 231" was also the name of a famous train engine.  This work was paired with a film (just images and music) of a train starting, running, slowing down, stopping.

That work should be widely available.  Let me know if that is it.
