In the 70's, I believe, there was a pop/guitar/version of the theme from Masterpiece Theatre.  Do you know of the song I am talking about and could you tell me the artist(s)?  I remember the music being used in the olympics, but not sure what year.  Thank you.

What I can tell you is that the theme from Masterpiece Theater is by the 17th Century French composer Jean-Joseph Mouret.  It is the Fanfare-Rondeau from his first Suite de Symphonies.

I do not know who might have made a popular version of this music.  I do hope, with the proper identification of the work, that you can track it down.
