Question
Thank you for responding so promptly, but unfortunately, I know that's not the piece, though the two are similar in nature. I own Orff's Carmina Burana, and while O Fortuna has been used quite a lot as background music for cinema, it's not the one I'm looking for (I've listened to all of CB and the piece is definitely not there). Is there anything else it might be? Thanks.

-----Question-----
I've been trying to figure out a choral? piece of music for over a decade. Here's what I know about it:

1. It's often used in commercials/tv shows (ex. A Season in Purgatory) to denote dramatic tension or high moments of action. For example, I know it was used at the end of this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6Kj2X9MEHo) but there's no mention of it on the credits.
2. Roughly, when I play part of it on a piano, using non-existent skills, it follows C-B-C-B-C-B-C-D-E.
3. Most people think I'm talking about O Fortuna, since it's bombastic and has a choir. Alas, it is not.

I would greatly appreciate any help you may provide me, since this has frustrated me for years. Thank you.
-----Answer-----
I think you are looking for "O Fortuna," which is a movement from Orff's large work Carmina Burana.  Take a look in a local library, and you should be able to check this out.  The first movement is what I think you are looking for -- and it is more or less reprised at the end.

Answer
First of all, I apologize for not reading your question all the way through.

You are sure it isn't at the very beginning of La Fortuna, before the rhythmic thumping begins?  Or in the slow introduction to the last movement?  If that isn't it, I really can't help.

Sorry.
