Classical Music/Trip It Lightly?

Question
Hello,Mr. Froom!

My family just got my mom a piano moved back into the house, and she is a bit rusty on some of her old favorites. There is one in particular that she is dying to play, but she just can't seem to remember it. Have you ever heard of the song, "Trip it Lightly," and could you tell me how I can find sheet music? The title is all we know about the song, as it was passed down to my mom by her grandmother.

Thank you so much!

Answer
I did some google searching, and found your piece (probably).  Here is the description I found:

Fieldhouse, Alfred
Trip it Lightly: Polka Variations for Pianoforte
Boston, Massachusetts: Evans, 1904. Musical score for piano solo; intermediate difficulty. Cover has drawing of a flower. 6 pages.

It seems that it has been for sale, but not at present.  That is, it shows up as being for sale at abebooks.com in Google, but going to abebooks brings up nothing.  It shows up in Google's memory.

I would do some searching in a variety of places.  Try Froogle.com.  Try going to Abebooks.com and see if you can find a phone number.  Try going to google.com and searching for sheet music sites, used sheet music sites, and then try to find a phone number to call.  Maybe someone can help you track it down.

Good luck.
