I've been hearing the tune for a while now but I don't know the artist or the name of this song.

That's "O Fortuna" from Carl Orff's larger piece "Carmina Burana."  It is the first part and also the last part of that larger work.

You should be able to find this in your local public library to check out -- or for download at any of the classical download sites (like iTunes). Then you have to decide which of the dozen or so recordings you want!
