Question
QUESTION: Hi Tandi, I am interested in holistic nutrition, and am considering CCNH. I like the convenience of their program as well as the price and am leaning toward them. Is there any other program that gives the amount of education for the price of Clayton? I have an associates degree in nursing, and worked as an RN for 8 yrs, mostly critical care, so I'm good on my sciences and A&P. Thanks  for your help.

ANSWER: It sounds like you have a good foundation with your Associates degree and Clayton would probably be an excellent fit for you.   If the program outline, tuition and curriculum match your goals, financial ability etc... I think you have found a great fit.

Clayton will provide you with a great foundation in holistic approaches to health and nutrition.

Good Luck with your education.

QUESTION: Thanks for responding so promptly. I am still weighing my options, and found Hawthorne University and Bauman College. What is your opinion on these two choices, and is Clayton the better choice? My intent is to educate - writing, speaking, and consulting - hopefully in the medical arena, so I'm most concerned with being thoroughly prepared. I am planning on pursuing an advanced degree (Masters or Phd) so I want my foundation to be solid. Thanks again.

Answer
I really like Bauman college as well.  I will give you some of the pro and con points for each that might help you some.

Bauman offers a great program and you will have credibility on your side.  Bauman is a respected school and they provide an excellent program.  The one con to the program is that they do not offer degree programs.

Hawthorne is a very good school, their program is more in depth than Bauman offers.  I think as far as credibility goes you shouldn't have any issues with Hawthorne either.

Clayton college has a very similar program to Hawthorne, they do have a few classes in other modalities which I think gives a good well rounded approach.  Credibility with Clayton may or may not be an issue.

I know this is a difficult decision and I really can't recommend specifically one over the other because it is such a personal decision.

Good Luck.
