Clayton College of Natural Health - trinity vs clayton

Expert: Tandi Hartle - 5/21/2008

Question
i am considering a degree from either trinity or clayton for the ND program.  from what i can tell, trinity has a stronger nutritional component than clayton, but i'm not sure trinity has the respect that clayton does.  do you have an opinion?  i'd like to have my own ND practice at some point and need to make sure i get the right preparation.  thnx

Answer
Trinity and Clayton have similar N.D. programs but you are right each school has a stronger emphasis in certain areas of naturopathy.  As far as respect, Trinity is just not was widely known as Clayton.

I think the most important things to consider when choosing a school are the curriculum and how well it fits with your goals and desires for your education, the tuition costs, that the school offers good student support and that you feel good about the school you choose.

Selecting a school is a very personal decision.  I believe that either of these schools will provide you with a similar foundation of education and the choice between one or the other should be based on your curriculum preference.  I would also recommend calling each school to find out what their student services are.

I know Clayton offers a yearly conference, weekly chats, message boards and other student services.  I am not as familiar with the support provided by Trinity.

When I am selecting schools I usually make a pro/con list of each school  and select the school that offers me the best education that fits within my personal goals.

Good luck with your education.
