Question
Kay when I receive my diploma from Clayton to what degree can I use that degree and not be challenged? I have a B.A. from Texas University in Education and enrolled in the B.S. program with Clayton in Holistic Nutrition. My goal is to write not consul anyone. Can I say to a publisher I have a degree in Nutrition? Thanks, Nelda
Interesting question... You can legally tell a publisher you have a degree from Clayton. However, my understanding is that most of the major publishing companies will not let you put your name on the front page with degree designation unless it is from a USDE accredited school. But they will let you place it on the back page. If that bothers you then the way to get around this is to self-publish. Check out Lulu.com. They are probably the number one self-publishing company on the Internet. The drawback is that if you go that route you have to do your own marketing. The upside is you have complete freedom to do what you want. I used Lulu for my book and was very happy with them. Good luck!
