Question
Kay,

I wanted to encourage my fellow students wishing to complete their programs at CCNH. I recently completed the CCNH Doctor of Natural Health program during the "Teach Out" process. CCNH is not a diploma mill. I am thoroughly satisfied with my learning experience from CCNH. No one at CCNH mislead me about the school's accreditation. I chose CCNH because I had researched the curriculum and found the subject matter to be broad and intensive. I don't plan to offer anyone medical consulting or medical advice, there is plenty of that available from it seems anyone with a Internet connection and an opinion. My goal is and remains to be healthy and teach others to be healthy.

I understand what others are going through seeing CCNH close due changes in the Alabama laws. The "Teach Out" process is working. If you want to finish what you started with CCNH, there is a mechanism in place for you to finish - use it. I have attended accredited schools that have for one reason or another lost accreditation - this is nothing new. If you researched CCNH and enrolled, you already made up your mind about the school. Take this opportunity to finish your degree program.

Answer
Fred-Thank you for expressing your views on this whole CCNH situation, and I am glad the Teach Out has worked for you. Everyone once in a while I'll hear from someone claiming they didn't know CCNH was non-USDE accredited. I'm always amazed when I hear that because Clayton always made it clear that they were not. Back when I enrolled, I could not find an accredited school that taught me what I wanted to learn. But now there are some accredited schools that are teaching what Clayton did. They are still however, IMO, not up to what Clayton was or some of the other non-USDE accredited online natural health schools. But at least they are working on it, as are starting to figure out that natural healing info is what the public wants.
I wish you the best in your future endeavors.
