Question
Kay,

I graduated from CCNH in 2006 and I want to list my credentials from the college to promote my health and wellness background. With all of the negative coverage of the school, how do you suggest I do this....I mean when colleagues question my credentials from CCNH and all the negative "mess" surrounding the college, how do I handle this? Like yourself, I enjoyed my program at CCNH and I had a wonderful experience with my advisors. I learned a wealth of information that excites me to impart and share with others who are seeking a more healthier lifestyle-:) Also, I live in WV and frequently travel to VA, MD and DC and would like to know the "do's and donts" of marketing myself.

Thank you!
Yours in Good Health,
Lu

Answer
Hi Lu-Yes, you can list your MS from CCNH on your resume.  Why wouldn't you be able to?? Clayton was a "real" school. If your colleagues question your credentials, and I doubt they will, your answer is CCNH was a non-traditional school that taught the principles of natural health. Period. Don't say anything more unless they ask. And if they happen to mention mention the negative "mess", your answer is Clayton closed and you don't know why. Schools close all the time but it had been around for 30 years and was the premier school of its kind.
If you want to know the "dos and don'ts" of marketing, purchase my book on www.lulu.com. Just type in my name in the search bar and it will come right up. Good luck!
