Question
How do you get the burn smell out of the microwave (popcorn)??

Answer
Hi Nancy;
The easiest way to do it is to, put a cup of vinegar in the mic and heat for 45 seconds. Let it sit in the microwave until it is cool. The steam will also coat the inside of the mic and then you can wipe it down with a paper towel. Remove the vinegar and wash the tray with the vinegar and wipe dry.
You should not have any more odor.
The vinegar takes care of it all and leaves your microwave spotless and clean.

You can also use baking soda and water to wash out the mic and this will do the trick too. You have to use water as hot as your hands will stand it, in order for it to be effective though.

A friend of mine heated 1/3 cup of lemon juice to a cup of water and she said that it worked great too!

I hope this helps you and happy cleaning,
