Cleaning Up/burnt saucepan

Question
Hi Jamie - Some vegetables boiled dry in one of our non-stick saucepans (stainless steep outer, Teflon interior)so I soaked it then brought to boil with water and  baking soda and used a non-scratch scourer to getoff as much of the burnt stuff as I could - there is still a bit of the burned-on carbonised stuff round the base of the teflon interior
My question Is whether it's still okay to boil food in this pan?

Answer
Juliet, thank you for your question. I checked with two people who would know better than I do about this and their answer is yes it is safe to continue using.

If you are looking to get it off I do have three ideas:
1. leave an unused dryer sheet soaking in the pan with water from 1 hour to overnight then wash as usual
2. try Dawn power dissolver a spray in a blue trigger bottle (usually seen in on the shelf with dishwasher soaps)
3. try a Mr Clean magic eraser

I am by no means an expert in this area so you'll have to use your best judgement. Happy cooking! -Jamie
