Question
Is there any way to put the color back into a spot on the carpet where bleach was spilled? The spot is only about 1"

Thank you in advance for your response

Answer
Hello,

Thank you for your question.  There is no way to return the rug to its original look, but you can improve it by quite a bit.  You'll want to use permanent markers from the art supply store, like prismacolor markers.

If the rug is wool, then after you've done your "coloring", place a damp cloth on the rug and use a warm iron on top to set the color.  Use the proper setting on the iron for the type of material you are ironing.  If the rug is made of nylon or any other kind of synthetic material, then you may have to repeat this process several times and/or every few months.

I hope this helps!

Best,
Katie (ruglady@jahannandsons.com)
