Question
Simply: here trying to organize and clean my mom's house who passed on. My concern are mini-blinds. The ole days, take them down, take them outside and hose them off. Now trying to get rid of dust that accumulated and one blind she spilled coffee on them, its winter here . thank you. Jim

Answer
Hi Jim;
Well, the tired and true method of using the hose is stil used today. However, klike you said, it is winter, so we need to change the format a little.
The simple method is to put the binds in a bathtub half full of hot water and a dash of dish soap (Dawn is the best, it takes off grease deposits) and then simply brush them with a soft bristle scrub brush. However, you may have to use a little baking soda on a cloth to get the coffee stains off. Than simply rinse off and let dry.
Have fun Jim!!
