About Sijka Expertise How to remove stains, new or set in, from clothing.
What products work best for those "impossible to clean" areas in your home.
What "products" and " appliances" work best in cleaning a home.
Experience I have had a cleaning business for 7 years and have experimented with many products. I contract with hospitals in my area to remove stains from the lab coats the regular cleaners can't remove.
Question a bottle of lamp oil spilt in the bottom wood of cabinet in my kitchen next to my dishwasher - I'm afraid it penetrated the wood as it has been 2 months and I have tried the vinegar/soda/water solution, putting soda box in cabinet, the orange cleaner, etc and still smells terrible and is worse when use dishwasher (guess heat gets to it). Any suggestions? Don't know if on sides too but maybe just need to tear out bottom and throw away - then need help with sides of cabinet obviously.
Also can the odor alone be dangerous to breath??? I'm keeping kitchen window cracked.
Thanks for your help.
Answer Hi Dayna,
Try cat litter to absorb the oil. Sprinkle it and leave for a couple of days then remove and replace. This should also help the odor-get the cat litter with odor control and baking soda--I like "Premium Choice" but you can try a cheaper brand first.
I believe for the sides of the cabinets you can get "Kilz" or something like it to use as a primer and sealer-consult a professional paint store (like Sherwin-Williams) for further advice.
