Cleaning Up/cleaning eggs of plates

from St. Pete Florida:

We too have this trouble when ever we eat eggs with soft yolks, (over-easy etc...). The smell also stays in any fork used to scramble the eggs. Our plates and bowls are glass (corning)and silver wear just cheap stainless steel.

I have to soak the forks to get the smell out and wash several times. They all smell like a metallic wet dog.
