Cleaning Up - Grape juice stains

Expert: Jamie Novak - 8/19/2009

Question
I'm not sure if this is your area of expertise, but...

I spilled sparkling grape juice on my green shirt last night, and now it's set-in. I used shout on it, but it didn't go away. What should I do to get rid of it??

Also, my shirt is 100% cotton.

Answer
Thanks for the question. What a stain- how annoying! The good news is I have a few ideas.
Do you happen to live near a Bed Bath & Beyond Store?

here is the link to locate one:

http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/bedbathandbeyond/PrxInput.aspx?order_num=-1&MC=&...

If so for $4 they sell a small bottle called Grandmas Secrets Spot Remover (ask if you don't see it, the bottle is small) it gets everything out! without harming the fabric.

If not pop into a local dry cleaners, they have spot removers they can use while you wait a minute. Sometimes they charge you might be $2-4 but it could be worth it.

My last idea is Home Depot sells Chem Dry Stain Extinguisher

find it here http://www.chemdry.com/products-tips/products-available-at-the-home-depot/stain-...

these are my 3 insider tips for tough stains, including grass/cherries/gum/tar and so much more!

Good luck!
