Question
Hey there,
I don't really know if this question is suitable to this subject but I didn't know were should I ask it...

I am from Israel and in a month I will visit my relatives in the US
I was thinking to by a vacuum cleaner in my country but a good vacuum costs a lot of money and it is much cheaper in US (I have only 200$ for it..). I found a hoover steam vac, it is 12amp when in the us there are 110 vatts electric plug, however, in  Israel there are 210 plugs..

What brings me to my question - " can I connect the vac in Israel just by transforming the plug to the correct form in my country and whether the vac will burn if  I use it with 210 vatts plug.

the exact model is "Hoover F5914-900"

Sorry for my bad English,
Solomon.

Answer
Hi Solomon,

Thank you for your question.  Unfortunately, I am not well versed in overseas vacuum use, but from what you describe about the watts, it doesn't sound as though it will work.  Try asking this company: info@govacuum.com

I have found them to be helpful and reasonably priced when I need to buy vacuum cleaner parts.  Hopefully, they can answer your questions.

Enjoy your trip out here!  It is a great time to visit.

Best,
Katie
