Question
I recently took some double pane windows that the seal was broken on apart. I have used a single pane of the glass to make some windows. There is a film on the glass that wont come off. A razor blade will pains taking scrape it off. Is this the gas residue the window was filled with? If so is there a chemical that will clean it? I really like how the window turned out and don't want to remove them. Help! Please! Thanks, Willie.

There may be a chemical will take off the film you are trying to remove. I really don't feel the gas that was used to fill the space between the glass (argon usually) would cause a residue to stick to the glass.

There are several window cleaning supply houses that carry chemicals for glass restoration that you should look into. You may be able to get a sample of these chemicals to see which one will remove your haze.
