Question
Hello, I have been gifted a Persian rug, but it has an old set in latex paint stain. Is there anything i can do to try and remove it? I can send in a picture. Thank you for your help!!

Answer
Hi Christelle,

I'm sorry to hear about your rug!  Latex paint is brutal.  We've successfully used paint thinner to remove paint from rugs, however, it does sometimes leave behind some discoloration.  Paint thinner would be what I ultimately recommend, but if you do have pictures of the rug, I can give you an idea of what this rug might be worth and whether or not you should take it to a pro or give it a whirl yourself.  You never know what you have!

Feel free to send pics to my email: ruglady@jahannandsons.com.  If you can, let me know the size of your rug and also take a close-up picture of the back of the rug where the fringe meets the pile.

Best,
Katie
