Question
Our 8 windows face the golf course and get sprayed constantly by strong sprinklers pushed by the wind. We've had a quote of $600 for a diamon-fusion (dust blocker) treatment, which is supposed to last about 5 years with regular ordinary cleanings. Is this true or hype?

Diamond Fusion is a mechanical glass restoration process. At their web site http://www.diamond-fusion.com/ they claim their process repels dust and water. We have never used the Diamond Fusion system, but have heard favorable reports.
On the other hand, there are other options that would probably be much more cost effective. One option is to use nano technology. Like Diamond Fusion, nano technology fills in the microscopic ridges and valleys with mechanical and chemical action. You can obtain these two step nano products from several sources. I can recommend a couple of window cleaning supply houses. One is J. Racenstein Company, another is ABC Window Cleaning Supply.
