Question
what would be the best method to remove the dog urine spot without ruining the rug. thank you

Answer
Hi Helen,

Sorry about your rug!  Unfortunately, the DIY options aren't great with an Aghani rug.  Afghani rugs can be delicate and can run the risk of color running and also of buckling when wet.  All of my suggestions to remove urine would put your rug at risk of these issues which are expensive to fix.  If you are able to take the rug to a pro to have it cleaned, that would be the best bet.

Are you sure the rug is Afghani?  Perhaps you can send me a photo and I can see just what it is you're dealing with (ruglady@jahannandsons.com).  I wish I had better information!
