Question
Hello: I was leaving the garage tonite, and picked up a can of insecticide powder to brush a dead fly off the inside of the side door.To my horror, the bottom dropped off,and I have powdered insecticide all over the garage floor, and on nearby items. Can you suggest the best way of cleaning this up?
Thanks!

Answer
Yuck, what a mess! Sorry that happened to you. I guess we should all keep a bag around the container in the future- live and learn.

I have to say this is not my area of expertise, but I did research and found some things that I hope might be helpful.

1. Whatever the brand is- go to the company website and contact them for directions. IF it happens to be Zodiac here is the number in the USA: 1-800-950-4783

2. Try poison control at 1-800-222-1222 they will have ideas for cleaning up the spill without harming yourself.

3. You might be able to rent a shop vac with filter, wear a mark and gloves then go to work.

I hope this helps. If you need anything else write back, I'll be in the office all weekend. Good luck and be careful.
