Cleaning Up - ink stains

Expert: Dr. Zoe Simmons - 6/3/2003

Question
Someone (my son) accidently dropped an ink pen in the washer. Everything has blue spots. Is there any way to remove them?

Answer
Hi Kathy,

I have been in the same situation.  If you have ink inside your washer...you can use nail polish remover to get those stains out.

Now for the clothes....as strange as it may sound this is how I handle it.

Spray each spot with hairspray and then rewash in the washer with Finesse shampoo...works like a charm.
