Cleaning Up/wet dry vacuum/shopvac

Question
I wasn't sure who to ask about this.. I have a wet/dry vacuum aka shopvac and i was told that it can be used to deep clean carpets/remove stains .... do you know how to use it  for this? thanks

Answer
Go to your local hardware store (Ace, True Value, etc) and pick up some liquid carpet cleaner. Mix the cleaner as per directions in a clean bucket and using a clean sponge, apply small amount of carpet cleaner to sponge and then to stain. Wait 15 mins and vacuum out with wet/dry vac.

This only works with some spots and a fairly clean carpet.

Let me know how it comes out.
