Hello Virginia,

I assume you're referring to 1997, when the Indians defeated the Baltimore Orioles 4 games to 2 games to win the American League Pennant to go on to meet the Florida Marlins in the World Series.

Living in Cleveland, and not particularly liking the Browns or Cavs, I had to like ONE of my hometown teams. I also LOVE baseball, so the Indians took care of both things. I have been a true fan since their lonely, losss-filled days at Cleveland Stadium, when I was one of only about 2,000 fans in attendance. I remember players like Corey Snyder, Alan Bannister, Julio Franco (the 1st time...), Doug Jones (the 1st time), Joe Carter, and on and on... Though I`m not a trivia buff, I might be able to help with some questions on more recent stuff.
