Question
When will Manny Ramirez come off the DL?  Thanks

Answer
Steve,

I don't really have a specific date to give you, because as far as I know, the Indians don't have a specific date set.  The last discussion I heard on the topic, which was a couple of days ago (it's been an unusually busy week so I didn't listen to the game last night) is that Manny could be out for another month or more.  Certainly he won't be back before the All-Star break.  The general belief is that, in rushing to get him back in time for the series with the White Sox, he aggravated the injury during his rehab game with the Akron Aeros.  From my understanding of it, he is OK when he starts running slowly, but it is the "sudden" starts that are hurting him--you can see how this is a problem for both baserunning and fielding.  So if we could just have him stand at the plate and hit the ball, we'd be all set!

Hope this helps.
