Have been unable to get an even tick-tick.  Is there a way to know how set the pendulum on center.   Have level in both directions.  This was my grandfathers.   It does run for about a minute at a time.   Thank You, Tim

You state, "have been unable to get an even tick-tick". This is indicative of a clock out of beat.  Before anything else let us confirm that state.  For this exercise for get about a level case, let's level the movements escapement.  To do this start the clock in motion and listen to the uneven beat, lift one side of the clock slowly, if the beat goes further off, let the clock corner down and lift the opposite corner.  Since the other side aggravated the condition, this should improve it.  Lift one of the corners until an even beat occurs.  Place something under the clock to keep it in that position and let it run.  If it runs correctly you will have confirmed the problem and can take steps to correct.
Try this experiment and let me know the results, we will move from there.  Regards WJP
