Question
This clock appears to be from the 1950's (copper and brass bucking bronco), and is electric. Not running. A local clock shop says that there are no replacement motors and that they will try to clean, but fiber gears used will likely not be replaceable. I am not very interested in replacing the movement with a quartz. Any advise appreciated. Thanks

Answer
there are folks who make replacement gears even for these- the material may be more modern but the functionallty will endure. it is not replaceable by quartz- if you have the $ there are repair people who can fix anything. Might cost $200 or so. up to you.
