QuestionI was given my Mother's Grandmother's Tempus Fugit Floor Clock, I have all the pieces, but no instructions as to put them back onto the clock, do you have any suggestions.Dee
AnswerIf you can, send me digital pictures of your clocks pieces and I will instruct you how to assemble them. In the event you are unable to do this I will provide you with general instructions. First put the clock in the location you plan for it to live. Position the clock so that it is level in all directions. Hang the pendulum. To do this look up into the clock and you will see what is called a pendulum leader hanging down, you hook the pendulum to this. Now hang the weights. Presuming your clock is triple weight you hang the heaviest on the right, as you face the clock. The remaining weights are most likely the same so it makes no difference as to what position they are hung. Pull the weights up in such manner that they are at least 1 inch away from the board upon which the movement sits. Gently start the pendulum swinging by moving it several inches to one side and letting go of it. This should do it. With the requested pics I would be more specific. Hope this helps. Incidentally, Tempus Fuget is a dial style not the name of a clock. It means Time Fly's. To determine the name of your clock you would have to look at the movements backplate. The name or logo would be stamped there. Regards WJP
