Clocks, Watches/hanging weights on Grandfather clock

Question
After moving clock, I am trying to rehang the weights on a Hamilton Lancaster Co. grandfather clock.  The clock has three weights, one is heavy, the other two seem to weight the same.  None are marked.  Help!

Answer
Hi Kathy,
The heavy weight goes on the right, as you're looking at the clock. The other two weights are probably the same, but if they are not, put the lightest weight on the left. There are some exceptions to this rule for the two lighter weights, but you will probably be alright if the lightest weight is on the left. But the heavy weight always goes on the right.
