Hello Sir: I would like to know which hole winds the clock and which
hole winds the chime and the striker, also does the whitt have hourly
strikes as for mine when I put it on Whitt it only chimes 1/4,1/2,3/4 and
on the hour. and is it ok to wind the clock untill it stops? How much
to service in the future as the clock keeps excellent time.
Pls advise and Thank you very much
ANSWER: as you face the clock : left is the hour strike --right is the quarter chime and center is the time train.
Whittington chime has a hour strike as do Westminster and the remaining chime in your clock.
Wind till it stops.
No service needed till it fails in some regard.

QUESTION: Hello Sir: I know that my clock is a 8 day clock but does that also mean that the hour stike and the quarter chime only needs to be wound up everyday or once a week as I have bought this beautiful linden clock from ebay and I have noticed that the chime does not chime fully and also does not stike like after 24 hours. So does that mean the 8 day clock is for the time only or does that also include 8 days of chime and strike?
Pls advise.
Thank you so much after I receive your answer I will give positive feedback for you:)
Answerall three winders only once a week. 8 days for everything. If it doesn't then it is not working properly and needs service.
