Clocks, Watches/slow watches

Question
My wife has had three good watches - a seiko, a Tag and a Gucci. All of them have run slow. Surely this can't be a coincidence? We have sent the Seiko (3 times) and Tag in for repairs (just got back). Any ideas why this is happening?

Answer
Richard,

Your wife must have a magnetic personality.  LOL

In addition to that, she may have a strong magnet of some kind close to the watches.

3 watches from 3 different companies is more than a coincidence.  It is most likely an environmental cause.

One man used to have a slow running watch and found out that it was caused by putting his watch in his pocket with his magnetic money clip.

Look for strong magnetic fields.  Does she put the watches on a speaker?

Does she work around magnetic fields?

Please let me know what you find.

Kind regards,

Melvin
